- Hi, I am a rock named Alex. So, today you want to learn about the rock cycle? Well, to inform you, I am currently an igneous rocks. My family has already gone through the stages of the rock cycle, and it's my time now. I was formed from crystallised magma, and now I will go on to become a sedimentary rock.
- First, I go through the process of erosion and weathering. I am broken down into sediments, which are pebbles, mud and sand.
- The next step for me is to become a sedimentary rock. I must go through the process of cementation and compaction, which means that my sediments will come over each other.
- Due to cementation, my sediments are joined together. I am now a sedimentary rock, and get broken down at the coast.
- The last step of my rock cycle is to become a metamorphic rock. For this to happen, I go underground and go through a lot of heat and pressure.
- I am now a metamorphic rock. I have gone through all the stages of the rock cycle and can live with my family now. I hope you enjoyed this rock cycle explanation by Alex the Rock!
