- The dialogue in the story impacts the conflict of the story by giving Cole by getting Cole mauled to the brink of death by the Spirit Bear which now the conflict is to not die from his wounds as in the text it would say -before the bear was on him, clubbing him down with a powerful blow. Cole's body folded and collapsed to the ground
- The dialogue in the story impacts the conflict as when Cole beats up Peter it cause the story to send him to trial but then would lead to circle justics. During which the story describes Peter was no matchmatch, and soon Cole had pounded him bloody. A dozen students stood watching. When Peter tried to escape, he tripped and fell to the ground. Cole jumped on him again and started smashing his head against the sidewalk.
- The conflict in the story impacts Cole because when he starts to think about time a circle justice and about the everyone else there said, he had been using so much energy on trying to swim way that the even text said Cole realized his mistake. His anger had so clouded his thinking, he hadn‟t considered the incoming tide. With every stroke forward, a giant invisible hand had pushed him two strokes backward into the bay, returning him toward the shore.
