the scientists behind electromagnetic theory
Good morning class.
Today we will be talking about the scientists behind electromagnetic theory.
These scientists are Ampere, Faraday, Hertz, Oersted, and Maxwell. Do you know any of them?
Sir, if I remember correctly, Michael Faraday was the one who discovered magnetic induction.
Sir! Hans Christian Oersted was the one who accidentally discovered that electricity produces magnetism during an experiment in one of his classes.
Sir! Heinrich Hertz was the one to prove that electromagnetic waves exist by proving that radio waves exists in his experiments

That's amazing everyone! Surprisingly you got it all correct! But you forgot two of the most important scientists in the electromagnetic theory. Maxwell and Ampere. Do you know about them?
James Clerk Maxwell was the first to provide a mathematical theory that shows the close relationship between all electric, magnetic and light phenomena.
I'm pretty sure André-Marie Ampère is known for discovering that a wire carrying electric current can attract or repel another wire next to it that's also carrying electric current. I may be forgetting something though.
André-Marie Ampère also founded and named the science of electrodynamics, better known today as electromagnetism.

Wow! You're all really smart! You said everything perfectly! I guess that's the end of the discussion. Thank you for attending this lesson, class.
