- (smiling faintly, continuing her knitting) Is that so? Science has many wonders, it seems.
- (cheerfully) Grandmother, today at school we learned about the laws of gravity!
- Scene 1- Grandmother’s room. The grandmother, old and frail, is sitting on her bed, knitting. Her grandson, Khushwant Singh, enters the room, his face glowing with excitement from his day at school.*

- (her smile fading slightly) Hmm... And what about your prayers and scriptures? Did you have time for those?
- (hesitating) Well... we don't really study scriptures at school anymore. We have different subjects now, like mathematics, science, and English.
- SCENE 2- Grandmother stops Knitting with slight disappointment and ask Khushwant about his prayers and scriptures..

- (a silent disapproval in her eyes) I see. Times have changed.
- (trying to cheer her up) But it's really interesting, Grandmother! We're learning so many new things. And I can still pray at home.
- (her voice softer) Yes, my child. As long as you remember to keep your faith close.
- SCENE-3 Khushwant Singh is Trying to cheer Grandmother as she is not happy with his curriculum
