  • Day 1
  • On day one we used vinegar to submerge the egg in to stay over night. The solution started at Hypertonic but the next day it was Hypotonic meaning the concentration changed.
  • When the egg stayed over night in the Vinegar it gained weight meaning water flowed into the egg

  • On the first day the egg was smooth and squishy. The egg shell got lighter yellow tone .
  • The first day the weigh was 65.43 Grams and then later on when coming back it was at 94.04 Grams meaning the egg got heavier over night.
  • Day 2
  • The next day we took the egg out of the vinegar and then submerge the egg in Corn Syrup. The Solution in here started from Hypotonic and then turne back into Hypertonic overnight.
  • When the egg stayed overnight in the Corn Syrup the water flowed out of the egg because it lost grams meaning it got lighter.

  • The next day the egg shell was little by little coming off. The color tone became darker then before and got squishy .
  • It was left at 94.04 Grams and the next day coming back it was at 59.82 Grams meaning it decrease.
  • Day 3
  • On the last day of our experiment we took the egg out of the corn syrup into Distilled water and let the egg sit over night in that. The solution started at Hypotonic and goes to Hypertonic overnight.
  • When the egg stayed overnight in the Distilled water, the water flowed into the egg again because it got heavier then it was before

  • Those are cracks
  • On the very last day the size of the egg was bigger and some of the egg shell came off with cracks. It was more squishy that it popped when we took it off the scale.
  • It was left at 59.82 Grams and next very next and last day it came to as 95.41 Grams meaning it gain weight over night.
