  • Lincoln arrives at Fax theatre
  • John Wilkes Booth shoots President
  • John Wilkes Booth escapes
  • On April 14th 1865, Abraham Lincoln and his wife are invited as guests of honor to Fox Theatre to view a play called "Our American Cousin". They were accompanied by other two other guests and seated in a private balcony
  • Peterson's Boarding House
  • Since John was a well known actor, nobody stopped him from going to Lincoln's private balcony. Wilkes then proceeded to go behind Lincoln and shoot him behind the head.
  • Manhunt/Investigation
  • After shooting Lincoln, John makes his escape by jumping down from the balcony Lincoln was in and landing on the stage. John then exists the theatre and flees town on horseback.
  • John Wilkes Booth Death
  • Shortly after Lincoln was shot he was transported to a boarding house across the theatre. On the morning of April 15, 1865, Lincoln took his final breaths on the bed Wilkes had slept in recently.
  • After Lincoln had passed the Vice President instructed Major James Rowan O'Beirne to lead the manhunt/investigation of John Wilkes Booth. They interviewed several witnesses that were at Fords Theatre, some said that they were sure it was John Wilkes but others were a bit hesitant. O'Beirne would stop at nothing to capture Booth
  • John Wilkes Booth had left traces behind, leading the Union forces to him at a small hut. There was someone else with Booth when the Union forces surrounded the building, the forces told them to surrender or they will open fire. The man with Booth surrendered right away but Booth refused so the forces opened fire but made sure to aim high as to not hit Booth. Booth's final moments was him peeking out a window to see outside, and a soldier thought it was a rifle barrel so he shot
