- Maria Tallchief was born on January 24, 1925 in Fairfax, Oklahoma. “Congrats! It’s a girl.”, the doctor said, giving Maria to her mother in the hospital room. “She’s as cute as an angel, her name should be Elizabeth Marie. What do you think, Alexander?” Her mom said to her husband. “I like that name, Ruth. It fits her well.”,Alexander said to Maria’s mom.
- Maria and her siblings, Marjorie and Jerry were doing a talent show in their backyard. When it was Maria’s turn she ran inside to put on a dance outfit and started dancing. “Wow Maria, I didn’t know you like to dance!” Jerry said. “I’m not surprised. Maria started dancing when she was three!” Marjorie said. Their dad came out to tell them that dinner was ready, but instead he watched Maria dance.
- Maria Tallchief had woken up and got off the plane with her family. “Well this is our new home!” her mom said.All the kids were shocked. “Wow! It’s as big as an elephant!” Jerry exclaimed. “I call the biggest room!” Marjorie said. “HA! You’re too funny, Marjorie”. Their dad said.
