  • I will give you food, however, please sit down and listen to what I have to say
  • Wow, okay. Thank you for being honest with me. You must return the things you stole.
  • I did it because I haven't eaten in four days... I had to. I had no choice. I needed food
  • Dr. Diaz, I have something to confess... IT WAS ME. I stole the phone.
  • Asking for help made me vulnerable to the mercy of others. I was only trying to provide for myself, but I now know that my ends and means were used in the wrong way.
  • Firstly, why didn't you ask someone for help before you resorted to stealing?
  • How do I fix this and rediscover my true self?
  • The reason you feel this way begins with your alienation from self, because you rejected God in that moment, you lost sight of your true self. this let the false-self consume your life and caused you to lose sight of yourself and only care about superficial things.
  • You should begin to embrace you vulnerability and understand that it is okay to ask for help. Instead of turning to bad habits, you should turn to God and ask him to guide you onto the right path. This can help you find meaning in your life and you may begin to rediscover your true self that is rooted in the image of God. You must realize that superficial things do not matter when you can be in right relationship with God.
  • This all ties into your alienation from God, because you lost sight of your true self, you opened your heart to chaos, and pushed God out of your heart by rejecting the 8th commandment. This caused you to lose purpose and meaning from your life. Some way you can rekindle your communion with God by embracing the paschal mystery, especially Jesus' passion and death. This can allow you to repent for your mistakes and have faith that God will not turn his back on you. You can also embrace the paschal mystery through Jesus' resurrection. This will lead you to build your relationship with God and restore your justice, life, and allow you to flourish.you can use the sacramental economy that we learned about in class to reconcile your sins. You will be able to embrace God's free and undeserved help and begin your salvation work with God
  • Through your actions of stealing people's things, you are damaging your relationship with the people around you. Essentially you are alienating yourself from others, especially since you did not take into consideration how stealing might affect the lives of others. To try and mend these relationships with others, you can first learn from Jesus' death and give yourself up to help others. You should also try to give back or replace what you have stolen, meanwhile ask for forgiveness in attempt to regain solidarity with others.
