  • As a child, I was very peculiar... I had no interest in dolls or toys, the only doll I ever liked was my cholita but that's because of the backstory my aunt gave me about her.
  • This cholita travelled a long way to see you, she came from the top of the Cayambe and had to walk 19 days to get here. She had saw you from the top of the mountain and wanted to be your friend!
  • The doll's commitment to being my friend impressed me, but what impressed me the most was where she came from... The Cayambe, the volcano greeted me every morning from my window. I always liked it and dreamed of going there.
  • As I grew up my interests evolved, I still didn't care for dolls and toys but I found the greatest source of entertainment: books.
  • How lovely, he changed thanks to the boy and is not a selfish giant anymore!
  • My favourite book was The Happy Prince and Other Tales by Oscar Wilde, it was the reason I threw my first tantrum actually (I was angry that the Happy Prince was melted and that the bird died, it was so unfair).
  • Calm down, mija!
  • It's not fair, he gave them his jewels and the bird couldn't go meet his friends!!!
  • Even though I enjoyed Oscar Wilde as much as anyone else, what I liked reading the most about was history. I read about Europan, Asian, American, Polynesian, South American, Indigenous and especially Ecuadorian history.
  • Yes! You tell them Eugenio Espejo!!
  • Seeing my interest in history my mom called my great uncle, an archaeologist, to come over and tell me about his life. I was bewildered, he was brilliant! He had lived in Australia and Scotland, but came back because he missed his country.
  • We can learn so much from the physical culture of people, that's why archaeology is fun, we get to discover history!
  • That's amazing!
