- Everybody came out of their homes and discovered that nothing was working, like telephones, the lights, and the television.
- It's a monster!
- It's a alien!
- It's a dark figure!
- All the neighbors came out of their homes because there wasn't any power.
- What... What?
- No, It was Tommy!
- It was Charlie!
- Their world is full of Maple Streets. And we'll go from one to the other and let them destroy themselves. One to the other...oneto the other...one to the other--
- All the neighbors blamed Les Goodman because his car was the only thing that was able to be on, but it kept turning on and off.
- Just stop a few of their machines and radios and telephones and lawn mowers, then just sit back and watch the pattern .
- I take it this place... this Maple street...is not unique.
- A figure comes out of the dark, and Charlie thinks it's a alien or monster. He shoots the figure, people rush to it, but it was Pete Van Horn. People are mad at Charlie, and Pete Van Horn dies.
- Accusations were thrown around everywhere, and there was so much chaos.
- The aliens explained how they easily destoryed the humans by not using weapons, but by simply turning off their machines and radios and telephones and lawn mowers.
