- A large amount of Muslims actually opposed the partition, but their opinions went unnoticed because of the upper class Muslims.
- I don't think we should go through with this partition.
- I don't think so either, but people like Muhammad Ali Jinnah won't let our voices be heard.
- Lower-class Muslims believed that this Partition will only help rich Muslims because people like Abdul Kalam Azad thought that the upper class Muslims would take advantage of a separate state and use their power to control the economy.
- I feel like Pakistan will only be beneficial to the upper class.
- Even though many Muslims opposed the partition, upper class Muslims loudly voiced their opinions. Upper class Muslims thought that Hindus and Muslims were too different religiously, socially, and culturally. They believed it would be a disaster if Muslims and Hindus lived together.
- Muslims and Hindus simply cannot live together, we are too different!
