- Alfredo Salazar, Don Julian's Son, is first preparation in the scene where he overheads his father and his sister, Carmen. Talking about the lengthy preparations for their impending nuptials to Esperanza. this seems to have no end in sight, there hasn't been any update.
- Don Julian and Alfredo made the decision to visit neighbors one day, which hasn't typical of him. They went to Judge Valle's home, where Julia Salas was met by him. They started to see each other more frequently, and he recognized when they had last seen each other.
- Following the procession honoring the Lady of Sorrow, he ran into Julia. He approached her, and they exchanged a few words until she quickly cut him off. the awkwardness and said, Congratulations on your upcoming marriage, Have there ever been times when you had to choose between something you wanted to do and something you had to do? Then he asked her a question.
- Alfredo was left to wonder if Julia had spoken her final goodbyes because she didn't want to get in the way of their relationship. He then went back to Esperanza.
- As the Ceremony proceeded, Alfredo was compelled to visit Sta. eight years afterwards. Cruz to find Brigada Samuy-a, an elusive woman who is essential to his legal defense, and to find Julia's location. He found a justification for going. When he first saw her at Julia's house, he knew that his love for Julia had passed away just like a star.
