- On the island of the lotus-eaters, the three men Odysseus sent out ate and got captivated by the lotus plant. They don't want to go back on the ship, but Odysseus will not leave them behind.
- If you land on Helios island and touch his cattle, all your men will die.
- Tiresias...
- After leaving the lotus-eaters, Odysseus and his men land on the Cyclops' island. Odysseus and his men get trapped in Polyphemus' cave and have to try to find a way to escape without getting eaten.
- Let's take this spear and blind him. Then we will escape by riding under his sheeps.
- Once blinding Polyphemus and escaping his cave, Odysseus proceeded to yell his real name to the Cyclops. Polyphemus then asked Poseidon to curse Odysseus for the rest of his trip home.
- Untie me!!!

- When Odysseus and his men sailed back to Circe after the Cyclops , she told them to go meet Tiresias in the land of the dead where he would provide important information. He warned Odysseus to travel through narrow waterways, about the danger of Helios' cattle, and what to do when he gets home.
- Odysseus and his men decide to make a spear and stab Polyphemus in the eye with it so he becomes blind. They will then tie themselves under his sheep so they will be able to escape without being detected.
- After leaving the Land of the Dead and going back to Circes islands, she warns them about the Sirens. They will sing a mesmerizing song and your men must not listen but you have to. Odysseus puts beeswax in his mens ears and he ties himself onto a pole so he can't move.
