- Lennie kills his puppy on accident
- I like to pet things with my hands, sof' things.
- Curley's wife comes in and stars a short conversation with Lennie, letting him touch her hair.

- I done a real bad thing...George won't let me tend the rabbits now...In the brush till he come.
- Curley's wife tries to tell Lennie to stop since he's messing her hair up but this scares Lennie and he accidentally snaps her neck.
- Candy finds out about Curley's dead wife and lets George know about it. George makes a plan to make it look like he wasn't part of killing her.
- I'm gonna go to the bunkhouse while you go out and tell the guys about her. I'll come along and pretend I never seen her so the guys don't think I was in on it.
- Ok.
- That big son-of-a-b**** done it! I'm gonna get that bas****!
- All the men in the barn find Curley's dead wife.
- All right you guys, when you see him, shoot him in his guts.
- Curley gathers everyone to search for Lennie and to shoot him in the guts.
