- Arteries and Veins are having a conversation-
- Hello vein! how are you? it's after a long time i have seen you.
- I talk to only the ones who are the most important just like me.
- we have no valves as we usually carry oxygenated blood from the heart to all the body parts.
- We arteries have thick elastic muscular walls as blood flows in a higher pressure in us
- we veins have thinner walls the n arteries.
- well then here's one more fact. all the artereis carry oxygenated blood except the pulmunory artery which carries deoxygenated blood from the heart to the lungs.
- wow! i didn't know that! Veins have valves to prevent the backflow of blood .
- see we do have a lot in common and all the same we are totally different and as such important.
- we also have a vein that carries oxygenated blood from the lungs to the heart while all the other veins carry deoxygenated blood
- it's all right! after all i got a new friend!
- Hmm.....you are right , we both are as important as each other for the functioning of the body i am sorry !
- This is how arteries and the veins ended up together everywhere even in and around the heart!
