- It was like everything froze in this moment as the world crashed on top of him. He felt a huge blow to his stomach. His family, his future, his dreams. Everything raced through his mind, thinking to himself if this was reality. He could not believe it and only one word escaped his lips.
- I'm afraid your performance in school has affected your scholarship and it has been terminated. Your grades have dropped substantially.
- How?
- It appears that for the last couple of months, your grades in tests have been decreasing. You also haven’t been completing requirements. Did something happen that might have caused this?
- I can't believe this. I thought I was doing enough to get by?
- I don't know.
- He thought he didn’t know, but deep down. He did. He knew exactly what he did and the nightmare he thought would never come to reality began to materialize.
- You know if you want any help, I'm always available for consultation.
- Makoy storms out in a hurry, grabbing all of his things and leaving.
- It's okay, Miss. I'll handle it. Thank you.
- As time goes on, Makoy's habits worsen. He starts eating and sleeping less just so he has more time to train and practice for the tournament. He becomes desperate.
- No, you’re not. You look terrible. You haven’t slept in days and been spending hours on end in “training”. Could you at least finish your dinner?
- Makoy, how are you doing? You haven’t been eating breakfast and you’ve barely touched your dinner.
- I told you, I’m fine, Mom. Just leave me alone.
- I’m fine.
- Makoy storms into his room to exercise, sleeping at 12 AM just so he can wake up three hours later and continue exercising.
