- Muhammad is a man from Mecca in 570 CE/AD. One ordinary day, he went to pray in a cave like he always did. Suddenly, he saw an angel who told him to recite in the name of his lord. Muhammad was frightened and didn't tell anyone except his wife. However, after a couple years he ended up telling more and more people. Although he was threatened, there were still people who accepted Islam. Muhammad is the founder of Islam and is honored by all Muslims.

- An oasis can be found in many deserts, including the Arabian Desert. An oasis is a body of water. It is a huge benefit to deserts, considering the fact that they are very dry and hot. People who travel throughout the desert are able to get access to water, which is very important and useful to have on their journey.
- Salat (Prayer)
- Prayer is one of the five pillars that Muslims must follow. They are expected to pray 5 times a day at certain times. They can pray anywhere but it is most common to pray in mosques. Before praying, they must wash their hands and feet and while praying they must face Mecca. This is important because Muslims honor Allah, their god.
