- Liam always heard that "boys don’t cry" from people around him, his friends, TV shows and movies. By the time he was 16, he believed it. After his parents divorced and his dog died, he felt a lot of depression and sadness, but he held it all inside. He thought showing emotion would make him weak. As time passed, Liam became anxious, couldn’t sleep, and lost interest in everything he once loved. His grades started slipping, and he pulled away from his friends.

- One day, a school counsellor noticed he wasn’t himself and called him in for a talk. She told Liam that holding in emotions could hurt both his mental and physical health. She also gave him a brochure about free counselling services at a local clinic. At first, Liam didn’t think he needed therapy, but he couldn’t shake the thought that maybe talking to someone could help.

- Later that week, Liam’s friend Jordan asked if everything was okay. Hesitant at first, Liam admitted he had been feeling overwhelmed but didn’t know how to deal with it. Jordan reminded him that it’s okay for guys to feel things and that showing emotion doesn’t make anyone weak. That talk helped Liam realize he didn’t have to handle everything alone.
