- Marry was waiting for her husband to come home, she would look at the clock often, out of excitement to the thought that each minute brought her husband closer to home. (Dhal, #2)
- Patrice is now telling Marry bad news, possibly that he doesn't love her anymore and that he found someone else. Marry now feels sad and angry. (Dhal, #10)
- Marry get a leg of lamb form the freezer and swag it on Patrice's forehead, out of anger confusion and sadness, causing him to die. (Dhal, #14)
- Patrice was a detective so Marry knew what she needed to do to look like the victim. Marry went to the grocery store to have an alibi for when the police question her about where she was when Patrice died. (Dhal, #19)
- Marry came home form the grocery store and went to the scene where Patrice was dead and called the police. This caused her to look like as if she just came home and saw her husband on the floor dead. (Dhal, #20)
- Marry got the police to think she's the victim and destroyed the murder weapon used to kill Patrice by serving it to the police officer's without them knowing. (Dhal,# 32)
