- Abigail begged Tituba to make her a charm and she drank it to kill Goody Proctor for her own desire. Plus Parris caught them dancing and Mercy running naked in the forest.
- After that dance in the forest, Ruth was afflicted with some illness which was people believed that witchcraft, Tituba had cast, was the cause of it.
- Tituba confess that she was with the devil but she didn't want to, she wants to be free from the Devil. Hale believes that she was God's instrument put in their hands to discover the Devil's agent among them, that she was selected to help cleanse the village.
