- Dear Lucas,Happy summer! I hope you are having a blast in Martha's Vineyard! My family and I are in Kansas, and we just visited the Kansas Speedway in Kansas City! I love car racing, so it was my idea. I learned that the track opened in 2001, and hosts two major NASCAR races a year: spring and fall. I wish I could've seen one! They also host other types of racing events like the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, and the NASCAR Xfinity Series. The oval track is 1.5 miles long, and the place holds almost 50,000 people!
