- 1. What is going on with the Ballerina show? Who is that?
- "My God" That must be Hari****AHHHHHHHHH my head!!!!
- What is she doing? !!!
- Now! Shall we show these people what it really means to dance?

- In the story "Harrison Bergeron," the purpose that author "Kurt Vonnegut" is trying to make is that although equality is good in society, the term "equality" and its meaning can be taken to the extent that it was never meant to be. There has to be a balance to equality, and it must be perfect, not too little but not too much. This story is written to show what happens when equality is taken to an extreme. This is demonstrated when intelligent, educated, and gifted people like Mr. George Burgeron are forced to be handicapped because their brainpower succedes others around them making other people feel unequal and jealous of him and wish to be equal with him. The same applies to the 2 Ballerinas in the story, who were both very talented at dancing and intelligent. Still, they were forced to accept the other not so capable or gifted ballerinas around them because their expertise, time, and devotion to being a ballerina caused them to feel unequal with them and jealous of them and unequal. This equality was, in fact, other people just being jealous of other people's strengths which God did not gift them. Because of this it caused jealousy in everyone who wasn't appreciative of the talents and expertise that God naturally gave them and became jealous of other people, not only causing everyone to be offended by literally everything other people could do better than others but the way they dressed, talked walked, breathed and every single aspect of life. Also, people who possessed the expertise in things were limited with what they could achieve due to the jealousy that people would have of them over their smartness, hard work, determination, and efforts in something.
