- When the news of Jemàl's death had reached the detectives Mr Fell and Miss Looker they decided to go to the crime scene and investigate immediately. Only two people where in the room at the time : Miss Stovold and a student James.
- After Mr Fell investigated James he found out that in the room at the time James had thought to see another person although James did confess to b the nearest person to Jemàl and so it could be possible that this 'other person' is a lie that James is trying to push the blame onto.
- After successfully interviewing James Mr Fell then interviewed the other suspect, Miss Stovold.She confessed roughly the same story as James but she did not mention the mysterious third person in the room and when asked about it she said that there was no other person.
- After Mr Fell told Miss looker she thought that they should arrest James straight away as he was the most suspicious and all the evidence points to him. Mr Fell thought that it was too early to make assumptions but Miss Looker continued to press on arresting James
- After having that very strange and suspicious conversation with Miss Looker he decided to look at the CCTV cameras to investigate on the mysterious third person. He found out that James was not lying but Miss Looker was the third person and had bribed Miss Stovold to not tell him about her crime.
- Miss Looker and Miss Stovold where then imprisoned for murder and assisted murder.
