LONGHOUSE
WAMPUM or WAMPUM BELT
WIGWAM
A long, narrow, wooden building, common among the first nations of the Iroquois, in which several families could live together. Longhouses could be 100 feet long.
A belt of polished seashells that are very valuable and considered a living history. They could be worn for decoration and used during meetings. They recorded important events and treaties and were also used as currency.
A Native American lodge common in the Eastern Woodlands that was often oval in shape and covered with bark or hides.
