- Lizbeth was a librarian, she took pride in her book collection. She came home from her job at the library, to see her son has messed up her books and left them laying around. She was upset at him but she had a flashback, She remembers when she was a child she destroyed miss Lotties garden, at the time she didn't think much of it. She now wants to apologize now as she knows how it feels.
- Lizbeth drives back to her old neighborhood and goes to miss Lottie's house with hopes she still lives there. She walks up to miss Lottie's house and knocks, (knock knock knock), Miss Lottie opens the door. Lizbeth says "I need to talk to you, I need to apologize for destroying your marigolds when I was a child." Lizbeth had a troubled childhood growing up, she was lonely. She didn't have the support she needed.
- Miss Lottie tells her its okay, and that all she asks for was for Lizbeth to help her attend to her new garden and shes getting older and she can't do all of it by herself. Lizbeth quickly say sure, They start attending to the garden and they finish it. Miss Lottie tells Lizbeth how grateful she is for helping her. Lizbeth tells her not to worry about it and she tells her thank you for understanding and letting her help fix her mistake.
