- 10 days after Jesus' ascension into Heaven, the apostles and Mary gathered together to celebrate the traditional Jewish feast of Pentecost. As they gathered together in one place, there was suddenly a strong gust of wind blew into the house, surprising each and every single one of them.
- Wow! He is speaking our language!

- After the wind had blown across the room, what seemed like tongues of fire spread out across each of the apostle's heads. These were all signs of the Holy Spirit's presence.
- With all the apostles filled with the Holy Spirit, it had enabled them with the ability to suddenly speak in other languages other than their own.

- As they went out into the streets of Jerusalem, the apostles met other foreign Jews who were surprised to hear them speak in their own languages. Peter had gathered the crowd and spoke to them about the Word of God, inviting them to follow Jesus. On that single day, 3000 people became followers of Jesus.
