  • Me too!!, Can i come with you?
  • Hi there Jenny, where are you going?
  • Hi there tom, I'm going to the library to review
  • Sure, Let's go together
  • So what subject are you going to study?
  • Really? but that's easy
  • Sure thing, lets sit outside the cafe over there
  • Can you help me out then?
  • ok lets go
  • General biology, I don't quite understand how Active transport works
  • Active transport happens when the cell needs to get in substances that are already abundant inside but are still needed
  • Active moves from low to high
  • Yes
  • i recall that this needs Atp right?
  • does it move from high to low or low to high?
  • there are 3 types of active transport, these are bulk transport, Endocytosis and exocytosis, i will explain bulk transport first
  • Bulk transport occurs when a cell needs to take in or give out large molecules that need not proteins but to be enclosed in a separate membrane and transported in bulk.
  • ill take down some notes
  • That is correct
  • next is Exocytosis
  • I know this one, Exocytosis occurs when when there are large particles in the cell that needs to be transported out. This mechanism includes the budding off of membranes to enclose and deliver the particles
  • the last one is Endocytosis
  • Endocytosis is the opposite of exocytosis but with similar use of the membrane to form a vesicle that will deliver the enclosed particles.
  • there's more
  • is that all?
