- Hey Bob! How’s your work been? Can you believe that the Autoworkers went on strike today. I couldn’t say I saw it coming but after the writer strike, I’m not surprised.
- It could be better. Yes! I did hear about that. What a mockery of the American system that this is allowed!
- I'm surprised you think that. Some of these people are getting paid minimum wage while the CEO's are getting fat of the backs of them. I'm not saying they need to all be paid the same butt he CEO of Ford getting paid 21million and the factory workers only make 67 thousand just isn't right. Additionally, some company's CEOs will still get bonuses even after laying off a lot of staff.
- It's not like those CEO's don't work hard. They're rewarded for there specific skillset. As managers. Those workers being laid off are in easier replaceable jobs and that's their own fault.
- PPfft! So what! That’s just the way it's always been. Companies have been around for hundreds of years. If this wasn’t the best way to keep the economy running, then we wouldn’t be doing it. If we change things so drastically then things will collapse.
- That's a naive take. A lot of people working in blue-collar jobs are working just as hard as the CEO’s, of course indifferent ways, but their circumstances growing up could have hindered them from finding more lucrative jobs
