- This storyboard depicts the opening scene of the first chapter. This scene helps to build the foundation of the novel. It also helps build the master to dog relationship between George and Lennie. George scolds Lennie for drinking visibly tainted water in big gulps.
- This storyboard depicts the most monumental scene and the climax of the story. Here we see Lennie in a state of distress following his accidental homicide committed on Curly's wife. He buries her under a bit of hay in hopes of concealing her body. This would ultimately lead to what ensues between our protagonists.
- This storyboard depicts one of the final and arguably most famous moments in the entire novel. This is what it all came down to, following the accidental killing of Curly's wife, George is faced with a rather unfortunate ultimatum. George must kill Lennie in order to protect him from the havoc Curly planned to rein down on him. He makes Lennie face the water as he loads his pistol, he distracts him with talks of the rabbits and the dream life they had planned before suddenly ending his life with a bullet to the back of his head.
