- hmm... I know Linton wouldn't like her - but if I can get her to marry him he will inherit her land when her dad dies.

- I know your dad, Edgar, is sick and dying - but I am not going to let you see him. In fact I am going to keep you a prisoner here at Wuthering Heights until you agree to marry my son Linton.
- But I just want to see my dying dad.
- Oh no my dad Edgar is dead! I am so glad I got to see you before you died even if that means I had to marry Linton so I could leave Wuthering Heights to see you.
- Oh no! Now my poor husband Linton has died! His father, Heathcliff, is going to force me to stay at Wuthering Heights now. He is going to rent out the Grange where we were staying. I'm so sad. This is awful.
- I guess the silver lining is I have been able to spend more time with Hareton. He is really a great guy. Buy Heathcliff will never let me be with him.
- Yea! Heathcliff has died! I feel so much happier and now I can marry Hareton! Finally a great day!
