- It is alright officer .I am just waiting for a friend .It sis an appoinment made twenty years ago.

- My friend Jimmy was great .It all started where this store stand that is the Big Joe Brady's .
- Until five years ago, It was torn down then.
- Twenty years ago tonight .I dined here at Big Joes Brady's with Jimmy Wells ,my best chum and finest chap in the world .We were like brothers .I was eighteen while he was twenty .We agreed that we will meet here again in twenty years that date and time.
- It sounds interesting. Rather a long time between meets, though ,it seems to me. Haven't you heard from him since you left?
- Well ,Yes ,we have corresponded But, a year or two we lost track of each other. You see the West is a pretty big proposition and I kept hustling over around it pretty lively .He will never forget .He is the truest, staunchest chap in the world.
- Three minutes to ten.It was exactly ten o clock when we parted at the restaurant door.
- Did pretty out West,dint you?
- You bet !I hope Jimmy has done half as well. He was a kind of plodder , though ,good fellows he was.
- Ill be on my way. Hope your friend comes around all right. Going to call time on him sharp?
