- Im Diane, Melody's Mother. I'm a nurse and know how bright and intelligent she really is.
- I am Mrs. V. I am one of Melody's caregivers. I used to work with her mom at the hospital. I push Melody in every aspect of her life.
- I'm Butterscotch, Melody's dog
- Im Melody's Dad Chuck Brooks. Even when she was a baby, he spoke to her like she was an adult who could understand.
- I'm Mr. Dimming. I teach history and also the coach of the Whiz Kids team. I am an enthusiastic teacher and love my job, but didn't believe Melody could participate in my class, let alone score the highest on my tests.
