- The topic of racism has been going on for hundreds of years, during the Shakespearean times it was quite usual for people to become racist and that they were very against change. Iago is extremely racist and Brabantio is tagging along with his awful opinions because his daughter did not fall in love with a man of his choosing. Today the world has had enough of racism as well as all of the judgement and racial norms that come with the color of your skin. The Black Lives Matter movement was triggered in the United States and it soon spread across the world with millions of people going out to protest against racism.
