- If you don't tell who this father is you have to walk around with the Letter A on your chest for the adultery you have committed. Take her to the jail house right now.
- I should've told but what if my husband show up or he finds out and what if the father get in trouble or be killed for committing this adultery
- In this scene Dimmesdale is experiences chest pain because he feels the guilt for making hester carry the burden of their sin alone.
- In this scene we find out that chillingworth is her husband, he is in town, and he is now a doctor in town. He tells hester that he will find out who the father of pearl is and make him pay.
- In this scene the children are throwing rocks at her even a rock that has the letter A carved in it but she didn't go home and cry she fights back!
- In this scene the town people are becoming concerned that Hester is an unfit parent for Pearl because of her wild behavior, and they want to take Pearl away from her.
- In this scene Hester and Pearl go visit the Governor, Hester goes in order to argue against this idea of pearl being taken away from her.
