- The story takes place in Paris, the narrator’s love, died in Paris and then took her last breath in that same place, Paris.
- Climax
- The girl died after going out to run to the man on a heavy rainy day and got sick very bad. When she got to his house, he was wondering what she was doing there if she was coughing and it was late at night.
- Falling Action#160;
- The woman that the narrator loved dies by her sickness from a rainy day. The narrator goes to visit the woman’s grave at the cemetery and ends up at the end of the cemetery where people died at an old age. Then a man named Jacques Valiant#160;raises from his grave. The narrator then looks around at the other graves and they were all open.
- Resolution
- Dead bodies emerged from their graves and they all had affected the lies in scribes#160;on their gravestones. The man was running around the cemetery, then saw the girl’s grave stone that had written on it, “Having gone out in the rain one day, in order to deceive her lover, she caught a cold and died.’ It appears that they found me at daybreak, lying on the grave unconscious.”
- The narrator then starts to run and stumbles upon the woman’s tombstone and saw something was written on her tombstone. When he found her tombstone he thought that she must have wrote something on her tombstone.
- The narrator thought he must find her, when he did the coffin was open and he went to her grave. The narrator was now lying on the grave of the woman he loved unconscious.
