- The Governor of Virginia sent a small militia of George Washington and some men to stop the French from building forts. The French were only building forts in the first place to halt the expansion of the British colonies.
- OKAY MEN! I am George Washingmachine. We have been sent by the Governor of Virginia to HALT THE FORT BUILDING OF THE French!!!

- After the colonists saw that they were outgunned, they surrendered.
- Oh no, they appear to be armed with tools of mass destruction.
- I surrender 💀
- We must do the Albany Plan of Onion.
- Benjamin Franklin developed the Albany Plan of Union. This plan provided an intercolonial government as well as a system for building and funding an army. However, the colonists were too jealous of the tax powers of the plan, so it never took off.
- The French and Indians planned an ambush on British General Braddock and his army, surrounding them on a narrow roadway in the woods. The French and Indians ultimately succeeded because of their tactics. This defeat of the British broke the seemingly impenetrable defense of the British.

- The colonies' military is a joke!
- Britain and the colonists had very differing views. Britain, now coming out of the war, believed that the Colonies did not have the military capability to challenge them. On the other hand, the colonies believed that they were more than capable of defending and taking on the British.
- Our military is strong! We can defend ourselves.
- Britain abandoned their salutary neglect approach and proceeded to control the colonies more. They imposed more taxes because of the costs of the war.
