  • The Legal rights ensure that everyone is treated equally by the police and the law. in this case there is a violation of this section as the officer cannot arrest the man without evidence that he has committed a crime
  • Mobility Rights
  • Every Canadian citizen has the right to move in and out of the country and between provinces. 
  • Democratic Right
  • Every Canadian citizen has the right to vote and run for an office once he or she reaches 18 years of age
  • The Legal Rights are very important because every person is entitled to dignity and worth as a human being equally deserving respect and consideration both in society and in the law. It also regulates the powers of the police and the courts, guaranteeing every citizen not only freedom but also security and protection.
  • Fundamental Freedoms
  • One of the fundamental freedoms is to be free to practice the religion you prefer.
  • This right is very important, in fact it sanctions that the government, except for exceptions can not limit the freedom of movement of an individual, one of the most important rights in a free and democratic country.
  • Equality Rights
  • The Democratic Right is perhaps one of the more important rights, in fact it represents the essence of the democracy. It represents in fact that the power is in the hands of the people that vote its representatives.
  • Language Rights

  • As canada is a bilingual country, every official institution has an obligation to provide a bilingual service to its customers
  • Fundamental Freedoms are significant because they ensure that people are free to create and express their ideas, gather to discuss them and communicate them widely to other people. These activities are basic form of individual liberty and at the base of a democratic society.
  • The Equality Rights are important because they state that everyone have equal dignity and value before the law regardless of their origin, race or social status. This represents one of the basic concepts of democracy where no one is superior to the other.

  • Every individual is equal before and under the law and has the right to the equal protection and equal benefit of the law without discrimination
  • Language rights are important because their primary goal is to ensure that Canadian citizens have access to federal services in the official language of their choice.
