Gatsby tries to reassure Daisy, and Daisy asks to go home

Tom continues on his rant about Gatsby, revealing the Gatsby is friends with Meyer Wolfsheim. Tom also reveals that Gatsby sold grain alcohol over the counter in drug stores.
Myrtle escapes
Gatsby tries to defend his name to Daisy, before halting when he realizes that Daisy us drawing away from him. Tom tells them to head home, and that Gatsby wont try anything
Tom consoles George
Hey, I'll let you have that coupe that I've been telling you about, and that yellow car wasn't mine, I haven't seen it all afternoon
When leaving the hotel, the two groups switch cars.
Gatsby tells Nick that Daisy was driving and watches the house to make sure Daisy is safe
I have to make sure he doesn't hurt her.
After George and Myrtle argue, Myrtle runs into the street and gets hit by a yellow car
Look out!
Tom tries to console George, and tells him that the yellow car that he saw him driving earlier wasn't his, and that he hadn't seen it all afternoon
Gatsby explains how Daisy hit Myrtle, and the drive home. Gatsby then tells Nick that he's waiting in the yard to make sure that Daisy isn't hurt by Tom.
