- This Great Despression is terrible. I've lost everything. My bank, my money, everything! I gotta move to my parents farm
- !929 July 17th. Time of prosperity and Wealth for the bank owner, Brandon smith. Here he is seen offering services to client. He later plans to gable the clients savings by investing it into the stock market to make a profit.
- Um the dust bowl?
- This was the worst time you could ever come and stay with us. These dust storms are lethal, me and your father are lucky to even be alive. They call it the dust bowl
- The first 10 months of 1930. The stock market collapsed on 1929, october 29. All of the clients savings Brandon Smith gambled in the makret is gone. All of his clients are demanding their money when in reality, he doesn't have their money. These were referred to as the bank runs.
- Your're under arrest!
- After a few months after the stock market crash of October 29th, 1929 previous bank owner, Brandon Smith, has now had his bank gone under. All of his clients demanding their money that he didn't have caused him to give up his business. His life is hard now. He lives in a small apartment and has an extremely hard time finding money.
- During the great depression there was an event known as the "Dust Bowl." This was where farmers left their field un-cultivated when in the early 1930's a severe drought hit. Farmers soil's were turned into dust and the wind blew all of it up causing to darken the sky. Some people died due to suffocation from breathing in all the dust.
- Because of all the dangers revolving around Brandon Smith's parents farm, he decides to move to the New York City Central Park Hooverville town due to the lack of option he had. These types of town were named after the president Herbert Hoover. These towns were basically built up by the homeless people of the time. There were lots of crime, little food, police brutality, etc. An example of police brutaility in Hooverville was when the character Mike from "Cinderella man" was trampled by a police carriage and died.
