- 1299 - Osman I begins the Ottoman Empire.
- 1389 - They began marching on Europe and taking over Serbia.
- 1453 - Mehmed II takes over Constantinople, ending the Byzantines, and capturing their land.
- 1529 - Suleiman the magnificent becomes the ruler of the Ottomans. He was a fantastic leader and lead the empire to becoming a global economic powerhouse, as well as expanding the military.
- 1569 - Most of Istanbul, part of Ottoman territory, burns in a huge fire, and there are huge losses, and houses are destroyed.
- 1683 - The Ottoman Empire lose the battle of Vienna. They can no longer expand, and it begins the end of the empire.
