- Hernán Cortés gets to know about The Great Tenochtitlán. Moctezuma, the Aztec emperor, gets to know that the Spanish are coming and thinks that his empire is coming to an end.
- Moctezuma sends presents of stones, metals, gems, and a mask and a crown made out of feather that represented the reincarnation of Quetzalcóatl. He also asks Hernán Cortés to leave their territory.
- Hernán Cortés doesn't leave and continues with his expedition. The followers of Diego de Velázquez riot. Hernán Cortés creates an alliance with the people that were judged by the Aztecs lke the Totonacas of Cempoala. Moreover, the Tlaxcaltecas were enemies of the Aztecs. Their relationship was not good. They create an alliance with the Spanish.
- Moctezuma asks again to leave but Hernán Cortés goes ahead. Moctezuma receives the Spaniards. The Aztec culture had many treasures.
- Diego de Velázquez sends people to capture Hernán Cortés being Pánfilo de Narváez in charge. Hernán Cortés leaves Pedro de Alvarado in charge. Narváez is captured by the Spanish soldiers with the disagreement between him and Hernán Cortés.
- In the Aztec religious celebration, they carry out "La matanza del Templo Mayor". The Aztec pillages against the Spanish.
