- Salva was living in Rochester, NY for the past 6 years. One day, after studying he got an email from a cousin he barely knew. He was curious to see what it was for when he finds out it is something connected with his father.
- To: Salva
- "... United Nation clinic... your father... stomach surgery..."
- My father is alive!!
- Once Salva makes sure the email was about his father he decides to go to South Sudan to see him. But first, they had to get all his paperwork done. As soon as he finishes all his paperwork he boards a plane as fast as he can to go to Sudan.
- What am I going to say?? Is my mom and siblings alive?? Is he going to be okay???
- Salva got to Sudan in the hospital his father was at. Salva was so shocked and scared to see his father for the first time in 19 years. His father cheered that his son has returned. He told Salva that his sisters and mother were in the village but that from the 3 brothers only 1 survived. Salva learned about the condition his father had due to drinking contaminated water. After Salva left Sudan he was determined that he was going to help the people of Sudan.
- Don't worry father once the war is over i will come back and help Sudan have fresh clean water.
- Is it really you... Salva your alive... I knew it! Everyone was sure you were dead... they wanted to kill a cow for you., but I did not let them.
- Father is is me Salva, your son! Is my mother alive...? All these years i been looking for you but I gave up and thought you and my mother were dead.
