- Plot Point 1
- Jessica is a bright, beautiful, popular girl with a magnetic personality. She has a bright future before her with her high school sweetheart. Alex is wise and level-headed and sometimes chooses reason over passion which is why she and Jessica even each other out. Mia is an outcast, a social pariah, and an all-out basket case. They all live in Charlotte, North Carolina, and attend the high school Eagle Lake High.
- Midpoint/Crisis
- After the police arrive at the barn where the huge party was taking place all the teens flee because they know they'll get arrested for underage drinking. Jessica and Alex flee together and end up with Mia in the woods. They then all start to feel drowsy and pass out, only to wake up in a maze.
- Plot Point 2
- Alex, Jessica, and Mia are all trapped in a maze and they don't know how they got there, who put them there, but most importantly how to get out.
- Climax and Resolution
- The girls discover that only one of the three girls can leave alive, and the others must die or else they all die.
- After being manipulated, and a lapse of judgment, Jessica tries to kill the two girls to escape. But she ends up dying at the hand of Alex in self-defense.
- It is revealed that Mia, even though she was one of the girls captured, had orchestrated the whole thing to torment the girls, while also getting them to admit to what they did (blinding her sister)Mia reveals that she is the kidnapper and gets everything she wanted, revenge on Jessica and Alex. Jessica dies and Alex is sent to prison for the murder of Jessica.
