  • Juliet is thinking and talking about Romeo, confessing her love towards him. Romeo is secretly listening. 
  • O Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo?
  • Shall I hear more, or shall I speak at this?
  • Both Romeo and Juliet agree that their love is stronger than their family repercussions. Romeo claims he will change his name for her because of his love for her.
  • 'Tis but thy name that is my enemy. Thou art thyself, though not a Montague. What's Montague? It is nor hand, nor foot, nor arm, nor face.
  • I take thee at thy word. Call me but love, and I'll be new baptized. Henceforth I never will be Romeo.
  • What man art thou that, thus bescreened in night, so stumblest on my counsel?
  • Juliet is asking Romeo why he came to her castle at this time of night.
  • By a name I know not how to tell thee who I am. My name, dear saint, is hateful to myself because it is an enemy to thee. Had I it written, I would tear the word.
  • Romeo is saying that nothing can withhold his love for Juliet. Juliet is saying that if he was caught he will be killed
  • With love’s light wings did I o’erperch these walls,For stony limits cannot hold love out, And what love can do, that dares love attempt. Therefore thy kinsmen are no stop to me.
  • If they do see thee, they will murder thee.
  • romeo is swearing to juliet that he is going to be loyal to her and that she is the one
  • Lady, by yonder blessèd moon I vow,That tips with silver all these fruit-tree tops—
  • O, swear not by the moon, th’ inconstant moon,That monthly changes in her circled orb,Lest that thy love prove likewise variable.
  • romeo and Juliet are saying goodnight to each other. they are saying how they will see each other in the morning. 
  • That I shall say “Good night” till it be morrow.
  • Sleep dwell upon thine eyes, peace in thy breast.Would I were sleep and peace so sweet to rest.
