- ADVENTURES OF ARTHUR STONE
- It was a sunny morning. A 10-year-old boy named Arthur Stone had to get ready for school. He tried to fake sick by pretending to throw up and staying under the covers, but his mom made him go to school. So, like an ordinary boy, he got ready and went to the school bus, wishing he didn't have to go to school. He walked to the bus stop, waiting for the bus to come.The bus came and Arthur wasn't ready to get on the bus, but he had to because his mom was looking out the window, giving the "If you don't go to school, your grounded" face. Arthur got on the bus and sat near his best friend, Josh Parr. Josh was not ready to go to school either. But his mom was looking out the window, giving the "If you go to school, I will bake cookies for you" face.
- A few hours after school ended, he got back on the bus and waited for his stop to go home. Arthur fell asleep on the bus and missed the stop at his house. Ten minutes later, he was the only kid on the bus. "Arthur, is this your house?" The bus driver asked. She pointed to a white house with a swimming pool, trampoline, and bouncy house. It looked like Arthur's house.Arthur nodded and got off the bus, but when he went inside, the house looked different. "STRANGER!!!" a kid yelled. The kid ran up the stairs to get his mother. Arthur was perplexed. He remembered that this was his house, and he was sure of it. But the mother came down the stairs and gave Arthur a huge lecture. In the end, he got kicked out of the house.Arthur was confused. He knew that it was his house and began wondering what had happened. The mother opened the door and threw his book bag and lunch bag at him. The kid in the house stuck his tongue out and then closed the door. At that moment, Arthur realized he was lost and ran away from home. "I wonder where my house is," Arthur thought.He grabbed his phone and was about to call his mom but stopped. When his mom found out he was lost, he would be grounded for life. So he put his phone away and started running home.
- Arthur ran for a long time and started getting out of breath. So he sat in the grass, catching his breath. Another parent came out of their house and had a problem with Arthur. "Why are you in my grass?" The furious parent asked. Arthur didn't realize it was the crabby parent's grass and didn't answer him. "Whoever you are, kid, GET OFF MY LAWN," The parent yelled. Arthur ran off the old man's lawn.
- Arthur kept running for a while and was running out of breath. If he kept running, he would faint. All of a sudden, the neighborhood bully pushed Arthur down and grabbed his bookbag to see if there was anything inside. All Arthur had in his bookbag were books, cookies, toys, and even more books. Then thebully shoved Arthur in the grass. Unfortunately for the bully, Arthur's shoe flew off, hitting the bully in the head.
- Arthur got up, put his shoe back on, and ran. He saw a house and thought to himself. "Maybe whoever lives there will let me rest. I hope so 'cause I can't stand another lecture". He rang the doorbell, and nobody answered. He opened the door, and nobody was home. "This was an advantage," he thought, and went into the fridge, and saw ice cream. His mom never lets him have ice cream.
- He grabbed the ice cream and started eating it. One minute later, the ice cream box was completely empty. He threw the box away and sat down to watch T.V. All of a sudden, a dog was right there and started chasing Arthur. Arthur started screaming and busted out of the house. "Rats, I thought there was nobody in there," Arthur thought to himself, "Well, time to keep looking for my house." He began running again.
- Arthur had been running so far that he was at Sackville. It was his BEST friend's town, so he knew he could go to his house and not get kicked out. While Arthur was running towards his best friend's house, he tripped on a rock, fell on his head, and rolled to another house. This house was like a mansion! He rang the doorbell, and a kid answered. It was, yet again, the neighborhood bully.
