- When it comes to teen dating violence, the best thing one could do is talk to a trusted adult. This could be a parent, guardian, relative, or even a friend's parent. Victims of emotional abuse need all the help they can get to avoid problems that come to all the negativity they experience from their relationship. An adult could give reasonable advice on what to do, or they could even shed light on the truth of the abusive relationship. The victim may be in denial and a trusted adult could help them face what is happening and how to get out of the toxic relationship.

- When in doubt, if it is a relationship where both parties go to the same school, it is always smart to tell a teacher, counselor, or even schedule a meeting with the principal and talk to them if it is that bad. If the emotional abuse becomes unbearable where it begins to affect grades, or school relationships such as friendships, or the ability to do a sport properly, tell an adult that holds responsibility at school. They can help the victim by separating them from the abuser and therefore the victim won't be alone.
