- In the law of April 6, 1830, the Mexicans tried their best to make texas more unattractive by setting a law that bans slaves from being brought into texas and by taxing the settlers for all their belongings.
- Stephen F. Austin gets arrested

- By doing this, the new settlers were very angry and it made other settlers leave Mexican texas.

- This is so absurd!! We are not being treated well and we have done nothing wrong!
- You must follow the new law that the mexican government made.
- After writing a letter about how frustrated he was at the Mexican government. The Mexicans thought he was acting against the country and they arrested him for it.

- Even though Stephen F. Austin was guilty, he still spent a little bit of time in jail.
- The settlers have had enough with the Law of April 6, 1830, so they decide to fight for their rights.
- They have a huge argument with the Mexican soldiers and it puts them into jail for not obeying the laws that Mexico created.
