- Hi students, today will be learning about the periodic table!

- But first, what is the periodic table?
- Is a chart of elements arranged into rows and columns according to their physical and chemical properties it can be used to determine the relationship between elements.

- Group is a vertical column of the periodic table of the chemical elements and periods are horizontal row of the periodic table.
- The Periodic Table
- The families are metals, nonmetals and metalloids. Metals are located to the left of the zigzag staircase except hydrogen. They are shiny, conductors, malleable and ductile. Non-metals are the opposite, they are dull, insulators and brittle. They are located at the right of the zigzag staircase. Metalloids are part of the mixed group 3 through 17, they can be metals, non-metals and metalloids. They are also known as semiconductors
