- Ann Wood was sixteen when she plan to escape slavery with her five friend. It was Christmas and Mr.Wood invited many families to celebrate. They bring food to let the slave eat. This year was the same as other.
- Climax
- Then there was a dance party. Ann Wood and her friend use that time and run to their carriage. She give them gun and knife to protect. themself. Sis, Tom, Fannie, Nat, and Ann are now going to the North where they can be free.
- Falling action

- After a long ride, they arrived at a barn where Robert purvey and his wife,susan, are there to help them. They eat and rest there for a night.In the night, they heard a galloping sound. They knew the slave hunter were hunting them.
- Resolution
- Ann know that there was no point outrunning them. She let everyone hold their weapons. Ann dare them to shoot her or she will shoot them.
- The slave hunter had no choice but to run away. “We will be back to get to get you “ they say. Then they get on the horse and run away.
- After that, they countinued riding. Three weeks after their flight from the plantation, they arrive at Philadelphia where they will be free!
