- Müller in our story is a 19 year old boy who is very book smart, but lacks in social skills, and tends to not really care for others and only cares his own benefit, and for an example on how he only cares about himself is when Kemrich was in the hospital, Müller only wanted his boots and didnt even care about how he was feeling and things he did wrong
- Kemmrich in our story is in the hopsital due to him being in the trenches and getting trench foot and the disease got so bad that the hospital had to amputate his foot, but whilst in the hospital he got a very back sickness and with everyone else wounded and also carrying disease he got sick along with them
- Paul Balmer is the narrator of our story, he is the one who is kind hearted and also very forgiving of others, paul is the main charcater of the group and he is telling the story through his point of view, he has had to watch his school friend kemmrich die in the hospital, and has had to go through rough training from his commanding officer.
- Paul Balmer in our story is our narrator and he is telling the story from his point of view, Paul is the type of character to give the benifit of the doubt and he is very caring to others and his school mates.
